What Are Cold Room Corner Type Evaporators?
Corner type evaporators are advanced cooling units specifically designed to fit into the corner spaces of cold storage environments. Unlike traditional wall or ceiling evaporators, corner type evaporators maximize the use of available space while providing targeted cooling. Tunelgroup’s corner type evaporators are crafted to handle small, medium, and large cooling demands across various capacity ranges, making them ideal for a wide array of applications from walk-in chillers to expansive industrial cold rooms.

Corner Type Evaporators Coil and Fan Specifications
Tunelgroup’s cold room corner type evaporators are equipped with high-performance coils and fans to ensure efficient heat exchange and uniform temperature distribution:
- Coils: Made with staggered copper pipes, 1/2” diameter, and a wall thickness of 0.35 mm. Aluminum fins with wavy surfaces are used, with fin spacing between 4mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, and 12mm. Mold geometry is designed as 40×35 mm. End plates are produced from aluminum to protect the copper pipes used in the coils. Refrigerant distributors and copper collectors are utilized to enhance cooling efficiency.
- Fans: Available in multiple sizes (Ø250 mm, Ø300 mm, Ø350 mm, Ø400 mm, Ø450 mm, Ø500 mm, Ø630 mm, Ø800 mm) to accommodate different cooling capacities and room sizes. Optional fan model changes can be applied to meet specific project requirements.

Defrost Systems
Maintain optimal performance and prevent ice buildup, Tunelgroup’s cold room corner type evaporators offer optional defrost systems:
- E1 Defrost System: Suitable for environments with low frost accumulation, providing periodic defrosting cycles.
- E2 Defrost System: Designed for high frost environments, ensuring continuous defrosting to maintain efficiency and prevent ice formation.
